On October 2, 2026 Wayne State University hosted the second annual Ilitch School Capital Case Competition hosted by the Mike Ilitch School of Business, and the Belinsky Entrepreneurial Learning Laboratory. There were five teams in attendance including Grand Valley State University, Wayne State University, Oakland University, Michigan State University, and Central Michigan University.
Each team presented to a panel of judges with a plan to invest in one of three real startups. They were given access to real data from these startups to analyze to defend their position of investing in the startup.
