Startup Weekend West Michigan continues today with more than a dozen teams working on developing a range of ideas, including an exterior mounted snow scraper, super food packets for smoothies and a card game that combines monopoly and goldfish.
Hatti Straube participated in Startup Weekend 2015 and was inspired by the collaborative experience.
“I felt very valuable to my team because I was the designer, so therefor my role was very critical,” Straube said.
This year, Straube’s team is working on an idea that she pitched–a study bar that combines the existing business models of a bar, coffee shop and co-working space.
Teams will continue to develop their ideas throughout the day and will receive a crash course this evening in how to build a good pitch deck before departing to GR Current’s collaborative space to continue working on their presentations.
