Three teams of teen entrepreneurs took home cash prizes in the final pitch and showcase for the TESA program.
TESA, the Teen Entrepreneur Summer Academy is hosted by the Grand Valley State University Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
After a week of learning, group work, field trips across Grand Rapids and fun activities, the teens presented business ideas to a panel of five judges and an audience of family, friends and local professionals.
Coming in third place and winning $1,000 was the Blue Team with their business idea, Recharge.
In second place, the Purple Team won $1,500 with their idea, Project Code.
Taking first place and taking home $2,500 was the Orange Team with Generation Connection.
TESA is an annual program. Check the CEI website during the year to get your teen registered for the 2020 program.
